Figured this might be a useful companion to the LMU thread.
So we can all get a handle on how they are going to work in the real world, how much they will cost, et c.
Post flight, date, route, original fare basis (T, T+, Lat, etc).
If I might suggest a format:
YVR-YYZ, Tango
$204 Base fare
$ 23 Surcharges
===
$227 AQD

YVR-YOW - Flex flown, Tango yet to come.
AQD for the outbound leg has posted, and it's exactly 50% of the overall,return, pre-tax fare, despite the fact that the Flex leg cost more than the Tango did.

Ticket cost, split evenly per segment based on segment distance.

Wait a second, so if I understand correctly yvrgary bought a Flex/Tango combo ticket and AQD is split evenly by segment per segment lengths regardless of booking class? Ouch! I can see where things will go wrong during IRROPs on F/J/Y combo tickets (sometimes might actually work in the flyers' favour).

So, for example, I could book YYZ-HKG, Tango on the outbound on Dec 26, and flex-J on the inbound on Jan 2, but receive half of the overall AQD in the departing year.

But my understanding is that a "ticket" only has one price on it. It doesn't have the full breakdown.
United seems to do this properly though, for the record.

This worries me - what happens in a situation where you buy a return ticket and have to cancel and rebook (perhaps on a different airline) the return portion?
If this is correct I am going to start booking one way fares much more often if there is a big difference in the segment fares.

Canada-US ticket. Outbound Flex W, return Flex U.
Fare+nav = $857.55. Additional $150+ of CA, XG, XT not counted.
Outbound was late 2015.
Return was early 2016.
Return U fare posted 428.72 AQD. Was hoping for more
Goanna be an interesting year...
