Hey everybody. I tried searching for this and also asking AC and 4U directly, but none were able to give me any answer.
So I want to try out the premium economy product on the 787, but my only chance would be by flying to TXL-LHR with 4U and connecting on to the LHR-YYZ flight.
Regarding luggage, I realize that 4U is no *A member, but it doesn't appear that the 3x32kg rule applies when I check in with 4U. In fact, AC and 4U both told me over the phone to contact the other.
So, where do I stand with luggage and lounge access (A3*G)? The 4U is booked by AC in "B".
I'd really appreciate if somebody with experience could let me know.

Update: I got in touch with an awesome lady at the AC call center in North America and she confirmed that *G cardholders baggage rules would be the "over-the-atlantic" carrier. In this case it's AC and 3x32kg.
AC didn't know about lounge access, so I called LH TXL lounge and they confirmed that access would not be granted.

Actually, a fun quirk of flying a non-*A carrier is that you're only entitled to your ticketed allowance : 1x23kg. Even if you were on LH to LHR, it would only be 2x23kg. It's in the fine print (the 3x32 is when checking in with AC, ACr, ACe)
