Unbelievable AC1181 delay
Flying ACr 1181 from YYZ to LAS today. I will NEVER make this mistake again — I'll just connect through the US on a real airline.
Scheduled departure: 9:20am. Current estimated departure: 5pm.
This is leaving from Pearson (supposed to be a hub). I'd expect this flying a crappy charter but really?
So happy to give up SE in 2016.

You poor thing
I've NEVER heard of long delays on US airlines, especially at their hubs. Better move over fast.
Seriously, complain when they've held you onboard for hours. 8hr delay in an airport terminal isn't unheard of for any airline.

I've seen AC sub in mainline aircraft for rouge before, but for a 319r, it would have to be a mainline 320 if the 319r was at capacity.

Why shouldn't AC be expected to sub in a ML fin? This is happening at their biggest airport and it's not like they've never used ML fins on ACr routes... I'd think a sub would be preferred over a 8+ hour delay, especially since ex-LAS flights would be affected, too.

between 9:20am and 5pm, you didnt ask to be rebooked on a different airline?

As I mentioned up-thread, AC has subbed in mainline for rouge before.

@gglave - Super helpful. Thanks for the insight :/
It's a 767 not an Airbus and yeah I asked for other options. Called the Conceirge (waited on hold for 15 minutes thanks to the new streamlined phone number) but I have a checked bag. Both the Concierge and the MLL crew alluded to the fact that this happens all the time with Rouge.
