IKK Question

Hi,

Question about IKK. I am flying YEG-LIS in June for a conference. I was thinking of flying my wife out after and we would spend a week there. Am I able to IKK her business class seats if I am not travelling with her?

No. You need to be one of the travelers on the IKK booking. You could try for classic reward availability in business, but not IKK.

True for international J. For Y and domestic you don't have to fly with, IIRC. (Watch me be wrong about domestic J... )

If you are returning on the same flight with her, then yes, you will be able to use
IKK for her outbound.

I think that is indeed the policy. however the Aeroplan site seems to have some comments left from the past on traveling with the SE.

Anyway, I don't really think this is much of an issue. I never had a problem using it for my wife. I even seem to recall that at one point mentioning that yes, I planned to be on the same flight kept them happy.

Still I am pretty sure the restriction to being on the same flight was removed when real IKK castration took place. That is, when it became restricted to R inventory instead of any J seat, and when the miles required were reduced back to regular rates.
