AC - ANA flight Code Share vs Non-Code Share?

Hello,

I would just like a quick debrief on what exactly is a Code-Share flight, and what isn't please.

If I understand correctly, a flight on another carrier with a code that starts with AC is a code-share flight, whereas a flight booked on AC but with a flight number starting with something else than AC is not a code-share flight?

The reason I am asking is that I have some options on a multi-city booking:

HND-FUK

AC 6229 - Operated by All Nippon Airways (with *A logo)
or
NH 269 - Operated by All Nippon Airways (with the little blue plane)

Both refer to the same "foot note".

My guess is that AC 6229 is on ANA metal, whereas NH 269 is on APJ or VNL.

Thanks for the answers and education.

*Mods: please edit thread title to make future searches easier, thanks

Edit:
I found this http://www.aircanada.com/en/travelin...codeshare.html , but I would still like additional details/experiences if possible. The example they give refers to two different airlines, whereas in my case it's the same airline.

Also, the word I was looking for is Code Share vs Interline?

A codeshare flight is when the marketing airline attaches their own unique flight number to a partner flight. The reason why AC6229 displays a star alliance logo is because AC has their own flight number on it, and since they are alliance partners, they display the *A logo.

NH269 has the blue plane logo because AC does not have its own unique flight number on it (or at least is not the option). A blue logo just means that they are a partner of AC (*A or not), but the flight is not an AC-coded *A partner flight.

So essentially, the flight will be on ANA metal for sure, not a subsidiary?

Do the "benefits" (like luggage allowance etc) differ at all in each case? It's a domestic flight, but part of a series of international segments.
