I'm actually considering doing a short-haul flight somewhere in India before the 15th...not sure if it's worth the time and $$$ though.
I would do it for sure.

I ended up flying to Mumbai and will be staying at the Grand Hyatt tonight. Free airport pickup and drop off, a free upgrade to a suite, and access to the lounge all because of my Hyatt Diamond status. What a pleasant surprise that was.

Can't complain about that at all!

Now I just need Aeroplan to post the missing miles from one of my previous business class segments and I should be good!

Does anyone know how I can get aeroplan to expedite my request. I can't wait the standard "4 to 6 weeks" as I will miss the October 15th cutoff.

I went out of my way to fly to Mumbai to gain these miles for the E50K early recognition status and as luck would have it, Air Canada has yet to post these miles.

Seems to be very hit or miss with Air India since I had a segment from a previous trip that didn't post either so I had to submit documentation for that as well.

This time, both outgoing and incoming flights did not post and therefore I'm still showing as E35K.

The problem is I need the E50K/*Gold for an upcoming trip. Can the Ben's from Air Canada help me out?

I can't wait the brutal 4-6 weeks as my flight would have already come and gone.

Thoughts/suggestions??

Based on my previous experience, if a manual credit does not post before the early recognition cutoff date (or subsequent grace period), you are out of luck even if the flight was taken well before the cutoff.

In the instance I observed, this was an AC flight that was flown about a week before the cutoff, but it was not credited until a week after the cutoff after manually requesting. I suspect a partner flight credit makes this even more challenging.

Hope it turns out well for you. Good luck!

Jeeze...I hope that's not the case because that would be ridiculous!
