It’s going to be interesting to see how AC’s inability to answer their phones and provide some sort of customer service since late Nov has impacted their quarterly numbers.

I’m pretty sure they’re releasing them on Friday morning, of a long weekend.....🙄


That’s usually a pretty good indicator that the quarter will be underwhelming.

Still Not Taking Calls

How can any airline operate like this? For the 3rd time in the span of a month with traveling on Air Canada, I can't get through to reservations and the social media team has seemingly stopped responding to messages via Twitter.

Its just unreal that they haven't fixed this.

What number are you calling? I called the general line yesterday and was immediately connected. This was literally just me seeing if the wait times were still crazy long, and I didn't even give my AE number so the computer wouldn't have prioritized my call (P25K).

I had previously called the Altitude line for a legitimate question and was also connected immediately, it seems the wait times are almost non-existent! Perhaps the weather is just really good across the whole country, or they are finally ironing out the Amadeus kinks.

Conversely, I called the general line today and got the message that they're not letting people wait on hold. Wait in the E50K line was 45'

Last night at 7:30 EST,10 minutes as a P25K. 2 hours for Aeroplan, however.

50K line said the wait was 1:06 to 1:38, offered call back, which I took. Call came in the timeframe, rang through to an agent who promptly put the line on hold, and then disconnected the call. Back waiting for call back again, we'll see what happens.

I would bet the first hang-up was intentional as opposed to accidental. Agent did it to boost call stats.

EDIT: I did get through on the second call back, only to reach this battle-ax of an agent who refused to perform an up-fare on my reservation because it was booked through my corporate TA. I've done it a million times in the past, so time to HUCA and hopefully get a competent agent who didn't take bookings for the Wright brothers.

100K Reservations line just now, said wait was 15-25 minutes and offered call back. They indeed called back right at the 15 minute mark. Made my (simple) change and was off the phone 10 minutes later.

How is anything other than <1 minute wait acceptable for top tier. Boggles the mind....

Called at 5:30 as well and gave up.. 50k line. Quoted 1:36 + or something to that effect. Unreal.

Called E25K line today.. 1 hour 16 mins - 1 hour 37 mins wait. Did the call back option and cancelled my flight from YYZ to TPE. Was looking forward to the trip to Taiwan but instead I am extending my Florida vacation a few more days.

With all the Coronavirus-related flight cancellations and change waivers by AC, I’m not holding my breath for reasonable wait times anytime soon.

It’s been so long since I’ve called in to AC that I’ve forget how long I had to wait before. What WAS a “typical” wait time for the regular line before all this reservation system change business?
