Aeroplan Hertz partner promo
Anyone getting this one rewarded correctly?
One call to Aeroplan, two to Hertz, an hour on the phone, nobody knows quite why it's not working, but I was given 1,200 miles for my rentals instead of the 5,000 miles. Seems to be that when it's a partner issue Aeroplan washes its hands (probably rightly, this looks to be Hertz messing up somehow).
But just curious if anyone else has received their points OK, if this is a system wide Hertz issue or just my typical luck.

Assuming you are asking the link to the promo, here it is:
http://www4.aeroplan.com/promotions/...p1000039_Hertz
d00little, mind to share when did you return your car too?
I normally return my car on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. In my recent rentals, the normal miles posted first then the 5000 bonus posted a few days later.

I rented from Hertz in MIA in January. I don't remember if I got any AE points or not. I do remember getting hosed for US$85 in extra charges I didn't authorize. When I complained they wouldn't budge, claiming I authorized them when I signed the fine print.
I didn't take it any further because it was a chargeable expense, so no loss to me personally, and it wasn't worth the aggravation to fight with them. It still baffles me why these organizations deliberately alienate customers like this. I guess if they all do it, it evens out in the end.
In any event, it was outright dishonestly. I won't deal with them again.

Early in the promo the 5000 bonus wasn't posting... they fixed that. I've rented the past 4 weekends, return on Sunday (checked in Monday morning) and the miles always post Wednesday night. Great promo, you get your regular daily/weekend miles plus the bonus. For a 3-day $50-60 weekend, 5750 Aeroplan.

After the second call in to Hertz something got unglued and one of the rentals posted.
But not the other one.
Oh god I don't even know if it's worth it to call in and go through all this crap again. It's like the 5x crap that never posts.
Now, maybe I screwed myself as I had back to back one week rentals from the same location, but one was a Jeep for getting to where I needed to go and another was a normal car. If so maybe they think of it like one rental for the purposes of the promo because it's back to back.

Bonus miles didn't post this week. It's been working fine since they fixed it. I got my 750 3 weekend day miles.. but no 5000. Anyone else?

I've been fighting with Hertz for 7500 missing miles for a few rentals this year so it seems like it's not their only issue. My miles either post with the rental and bonus, or not at all. They are very frustrating to deal with. The latest I got from them is that they are experiencing technical issues with miles posting to Aeroplan but who knows if this is really the case because all I get is runaround from them anyway.

Only base 750 posted again this week for me. 2 weeks in a row now. I've sent Hertz @ Twitter a message.. they were very helpful last time.
