I am new to this forum. looking forward to being a participant.
i wonder how anyone else feels about this. since AC arbitrarily changed their web site, i have been unable to log on and book flights. i finally contacted customer service. after much abck and forth and numerous phone calls to various departments i was told that AC no longer supports Mac and HAS NO INTENTION OF DOING SO IN THE FUTURE. that is the reason the site's features do not work for me. this is the proverbial straw. since being forcibly shunted over from Canadian Gold, i have watched privileges and service being eroded and deteriorating. but this takes the prize. how can they turn their back on a whole community? may i say without intending to insult anyone, one of the more creative groups of people?
i'm wondering what the options are of joining another FF program in another airline. are any better than others? is there a way to get equivalent staus on another airline wihtout having to go through lengthy qualifications?

mcrein: While there was a flurry of activity here 'once upon a time' about changing FF, it's still alive over on errorplan.com. There are several threads about it and I'm sure if you post your info about Mac and ask your questions of the Editors of EP they, or someone else, will surely answer!

I seem to be able to book WebSpecials on the site, and had no trouble booking on Destina.ca with a Mac. Making regular bookings on the AC website is not very useful since I cannot specify class of service [i.e. upgradeable economy fare], so this is not a major problem. And PTO never supported Mac. I can still get my Aeroplan account info. This is just another one of those things we Mac users must get used to. With under 10% of the computer market, we can't always expect compatibility.
And before anyone makes any further snide remarks, I also have a Betamax...

Speaking as someone who formerly worked in tech support (think @home with its rebranding in ON - thanks Ted!) Mac is difficult to work with. Settings for email aren't the same, even using OE on the alternative platform. Security settings are not easily applied until OS 9x or above. This can affect your site viewing.
