MLL access with temp United Club card?

If I'm a new United Club member and only have a temporary card before they send me a permanent one, would I be able to use that to access the transborder lounge in YVR?

Checking the United Club site it doesn't look like they include MLL access at all. From http://www.united.com/web/en-us/apps...nitedClub.aspx:
With a United ClubSM membership, you'll have access to more than 45 United Club locations worldwide.

Unless it's *A Gold marked, you are probably not getting in.

Under the "United Club members" section, it mentions access to "Business Class lounges owned by Star Alliance member airlines" with just a United Club card. Star Alliance lounge access policy says basically the same thing: http://www.staralliance.com/en/benef...access-policy/ (see "paid lounge membership"), and Star Alliance lounge finder page.

Nonetheless, I just reread the details and it does say the temporary card is only valid at United Club locations. I have to wait for the permanent card to get access to other lounges.

Ask a UA check-in agent for a temporary MP card printed on boarding pass stock. If you're a United Club member, it is listed on the temporary MP card, and the MLL accepts it (with persistence - tell the MLL agent to select the United Club Card on his or her screen, and type in your MP number).
