Help please!

I need to get from DFW to ORD and then 2 days later to YQB next August. I then need to return YQB to DFW.

I don't want the routing AA has via BOS.

Can someone please help me with this? Also which airline should I use for online booking?

I only have memberships with AA, BA and Delta, but will open a new one if I have to.

I wouldn't mind a bargain price, for sure.

If you don't want to go AA through BOS, your next best option is UA to ORD, then AC/UA to YQB and back to DFW. Either airlines comes in at approx $525 USD for this routing, if you do a Sat night stay.

If you give me some dates, I can give you exact flights / fares etc.

Dear Maple Leaf!

Congratulations on your gold medals!

My sincere thanks for your help. Am I wise to join the AC ff club, United or both?

I haven't got the exact dates as yet.

I don't want to go through BOS as I don't like the wing of the terminal that serves American Eagle, nor the immigrations & customs mad house.

I have no travel agent as my favorate place closed shop. The AA CTO's are closed. I feel alone doing this. Your help is appreciated.

Over the next 3 years the amount of travel I'm going to do is going to increase substantially. I don't like having all sorts of FF acounts with small patches of miles. My loyalty to AA and Delta are based on the large numbers of miles I have with each.

I plan to be more than 2 glorius weeks in Canada.

Thanks again!

Are you absolutely sure you don't want to fly AA? It's a much better airline.

Flyer Al,

I have a zillion AA FF miles and have used that airline a great deal. I have a problem with the AA conection from BOS to Quebec City. It is on a Saab 340B.

That means that my beloved and highly necessary camera bag has to be ramp checked and put in the baggage compartment. This causes me extreme anxiety.

On one previous occasion, a kind FA let me put my camera bag in front of an empty seat. I can't count on that happening; so I am looking for alternative ideas.

If it happens that AA is my best choice, I will book it and hope for the best. My camera bag is well under the maximum size for carry on bags on jets--just too large for the Saab 340B.

Then make sure you don't get an RJ (or Dash-8?) on any of your AC segments! (I'm not saying you will, but they sometimes show up on segments that also have big planes).

I'd go with united.com and probably wind up on the namesake of this forum for most of it. YQB-YYZ-DFW exists as do alternatives. THe AC web site works out well.

A real live travel agent works even better.

Gee whiz guys. The question posted was "...which airline should I use for online booking" and I was responding to the question - no disrespect for travel agents intended. Still, I have found that united.com is a good source of information for flights that involve Air Canada.
