according to recent statement i got elite members may invite one free guest when travelling on intercontinental flight 
Otherwise you will have to pay $20 each for access.
This does it, I won't be travelling on AC anymore

Don't like AC, don't fly AC. Avoiding AeroPlan is a pointless excersise. Just how often have you used that "Comped" AA Platinum status of yours ?
