First EUpgrade
Hi all,
This is my first eupgrade I'm doing, and it's not even for myself!
Haha.
I'm trying to do an upgrade for my friend here who has the following itinerary:
Departing:
YEG- YYZ (R)
YYZ - CDG (U)
Returning:
NAP - MUC (L)
MUC - YYZ (L)
YYZ - YEG (L)
This is my information after I have already done the eupgrades to share, and was able to get him YEG-YYZ upgraded. The YYZ-CDG window is later tonight so I'll let you know how that one goes!
I know that the L - Internationals can't be upgraded cause they are Tango now, and not Tango Plus so no dice there. Although my upgrade to share window shows me that the YYZ-YEG leg on the return IS upgradable (just not the correct time yet).
My question is, what are my expected credits spent for the departing:
1) If get both: will it be 17 or will it be 10 + 17?
2) If get just YEG - YYZ: will it be 10?
And I guess if I can get the return YYZ - YEG will it be 10?
Thanks for the help, I read through all ACs webpages but I just wanted to confirm the rationale and make sure I was understanding it right!
Shesh first eupgrades and using em on a buddy... Ah well, no xmas gift for him :P

So, it will be 14. (not 17)
That is correct, 10 will be use.
Flight connections
If you request an upgrade for an entire one-way itinerary that contains flight connections, you will be charged the lesser of:
- the number of credits required for an upgrade between your origin and destination, or
- the sum of the number of credits required per flight segment.
See example
You are flying on a Latitude fare from Toronto to Frankfurt with a connecting flight in Montreal. Your upgrade can be calculated in two ways:
Toronto-Frankfurt direct: 6 eUpgrade Credits
Toronto-Montreal (1 credit) + Montreal-Frankfurt (6 credits) = 7 eUpgrade Credits.
In this scenario, you will be charged 6 eUpgrade Credits.
Note: This example is for indicative purposes only. The actual credits required for this itinerary may differ.
