Hey guys

Do any of you who travel to CDG know where the concierge office is located?

I will be comming on an LH flight, and am looking for some help to get downtown using Public Transit.

If any of you have a website to share, on PT and how to get around, that would also work.

Too bad google has integrated PT into google maps like in NA

I have lived in Paris for about 20 years, may be i can help you.
In the CDG airport, you will find a train station where the TGV can take you outside of Paris and also straight to Disneyland Paris), and the RER (regional train) that can get you into Paris.

In my travels I have seen these 'kiosks' or 'booths' in many airports labelled "info" or "information" and also sometimes a "?". I believe it means they can aid with you local information such as ground travel or possibly even finding an AC Concierge office so you can ask about ground travel there.

There is information regarding ground transportation scattered across the arrivals level of CDG as well as information kiosks. There's many options to get into the city including RER (express and commuter services), RoissyBus direct to Op�ra and Les Cars Air France (AF shuttle service).

Also, I believe (not sure) LH flies out of T1 while AC flies out of T2 so it'll involve a journey on the CDGVAL in order to get to the concierge office anyway.

The 3 services are comparable in terms of time/price, but the best choice really depends on where you are specifically trying to go.

with the road construction around the airport, I would stick with the trains. one watch out- when I was there in late March, the RER from Gare du Nord to CDG has a limited run in the pm- ie, the direct to CDG train doesn't run after a certain hour in the later evening. you apparently had to get off at the branch (sorry, forgot its name) and find the bus... another data point: took the roissy bus to the Opera just to try- 2+ hrs in stop start traffic (mid day) which is way too much stress coming off a TALT flight-even in J... and due to terminal construction, the pickup was waaayy around the other terminal (whatever the terminal is that is on the other side of the Sheraton walkway)

I strongly recommend the RER train. Follow the signs when you clear immigration/customs, it should be on your right hand side. It is quite a walk to cross terminal 2 to the train station, especially when crowded and if you have heavy luggage. When you get to the train station, get you ticket from a booth, it's around 9 euros. When you cross the gate with your ticket, pass your luggage FIRST in front of you. The automatic closing doors are really quick to close and I ruined one or two piece of luggage in the past... Also, keep you ticket with you, you'll need it to get out of the boarding area at Gare du Nord, or Chatelet. Hope that helps!

The CDG Conceirges are amongst the most unhelpful in the AC network. The only time I have ever been denied an U/G was out of paris.

It wouldn't be CDG if everything worked properly and you actually got what you wanted.

No AC concierge office per se at CDG T2A. Small team of 3, with usually 2 working at the same time. One of the team can generally be found on the bridge meeting the arrival of 870 and 880, the other working the desk in the MLL. Also usually present at gate for boarding.

The station lead agents are usually near the check-in area and then at the gate.

There is a small ticket office to the side of the check-in bank where you can bump into a concierge or a lead.

If arriving on LH, you will be at T1 and I don't see how/what the AC concierges can do to help you.

Public transport options are well described above by other posters, especially at the RATP site.

I regularly go to France via AC. When you clear customs and pickup your luggage and exit to the main terminal, make a right and walk all the way to the end of the terminal A. Then the pathway will be narrower and you will see a mcDonald's (free wifi if needed) and continue walking.. Then you will see an escalator for car rentals, a pharmacy and a small grocery store downstairs, keep walking... You will then enter CDG 2C, again, walk right past through that terminal as well. Then you will see see moving escalators and at the end (on your left), you will see a Sheraton as well as the SNCF and RER station below. It is called "Paris by train". If needed, the CDG Val is on the right which takes you to T1 or T3. There is another RER station at T3.

Oh and grab a croissant from Paul booth, to get the taste out of the terrible AC breakfast :-)

Edit: I just realized that you are coming from LH, so ignore my directions. Take the CDGVal and get out at T3/roissypole and the train station is located in the middle. There's a brioche doree where you can grab a croissant here as well. :-)

I will be going to CDG taking AC and transfer to TG. If I am correct, I will be arriving Terminal 2 and head to Terminal 1... Any idea how?

CDGVAL

Correct, CDG VAL is the easiest and quickest way to get to T1. Just follow my directions a few posts above and look for the CDGVAL terminal to your right (when you see the Sheraton). You can't miss it. Don't go to the RER/SNCF terminal.

Give yourself a good 20-30 mins to get to T1 from T2. (for the walking time to the CDGVAL terminal, plus transit time in the shuttle). The 2A and 2C terminals can be quite busy in the morning, when you arrive from Canada, so it's often a struggle to walk through the crowds at a decent pace
The shuttles themselves run every 5 mins or so, and there's often one waiting to depart, just before the next one arrives (T2 and T1 are both at the end of the line, so you can't go the wrong direction nor miss your stop).
