My last time through the Nexus line was 8 PAX and the regular line was....me. Nexus was slower.

Last time I flew into YUL there were so damn many people in the pen that they wouldn't even let people down the stairs because about 3 massive airliners all landed at the same time. Easily 500+ people in line -- took me over an hour and I nearly missed my flight. Nexus queue length: 0. One experience isn't definitive one way or the other, but the way I see it, Nexus can't hurt, but not having one can :P

We flew YQR-ORD-MCO on Saturday - 7 passengers, 2 of us with NEXUS. We went to the GE kiosks, click, click, click, done (no one was there). Grabbed the bags for all seven of us from the carousel, waited, waited, waited. 25 minutes later they showed up. Zero questions leaving Customs. Easiest border crossing ever.

I was already sold, but this was just testament to how much this rocks when it works well.

We're going to have to sort out our schedules so we can get Nexus. Takes a little sorting from YQR, as you know. I've found it especially makes a difference in ORD where the regular lineups can be horrible.

Arriving into SFO is quite the train wreck also.

Used GE in ORD yesterday. Easily 300 people in line up for US immigration. I was the one and only using the Global Entry machine and was through in 3 minutes...5 minutes later I had my luggage from the carousel. Could not have been happier.

Then came back to YYZ--waited about 45 seconds to use a Nexus machine and again was through in under 5 minutes ..bags took a little longer a la Toronto standard (or lack thereof).

So, 2 crossings, under 5 minutes each..sure beats standing for an hour in a long lineup holding your winter coat waiting to be grilled about who knows what.

I do the same, I refuse to go to the US for any reason. As all my travel is self funded I have the luxury of deciding where I want to go and how to get there.

Reminds me of the time that a TSAer in the Security forum claimed that people in London had never experienced bombings. Apparently he was unaware of the IRA "troubles", V2 rockets, German bombers, and perhaps even the Spanish and French armadas.
I think the difference with the British is that they get on with things, they don't spend years and years beating their breasts moaning "woe is me".

I'm quite sure that the TSAer you mentioned isn't the only person ignorant enough to believe that London has never experienced bombs.

Exactly my experience. The world is a big, big place and the USA is very low on my list of foreign countries to visit/revisit.

Totally agree. Nexus is a breeze, the agents know me and pass me right through, almost no questions asked.

Thankfully, have NEVER had trouble with security.
