Is this possible? If not, it should be.

Absolutely - it's called 'safari'.

While it should be possible using Safari it's not. I attempted it last week and everything went fine until the last step, when an AC popup appears and it asks you to check a box and agree to the terms and conditions.

I defy you to scroll across the window, check the box, and hit enter. Lets just say that i'm a tad stubborn and made "many" unsucessful attempts to complete the transaction.

I'm not sure if the issue is with the AC website or with mobile version of Safari, but I hope it gets resolved.

Hello. Newbie to Aeroplan Elite. I have a flight and tried and perhaps the lack of java on the iPhone did not allow it so I called in as I had no access to any other internet connection.
Called in and was UG . Nice way to start as an Elite.

There used to be a way around it as I had the same problem before I went back to Blackberry. I can't remember the exact steps but it was either switching to landscape view from portrait or zooming out before hitting the dreaded acknowledge box.

I had the same issue, if you pinch to zoom out as far as possible it accepts the input. For some reason zoomed in and scrolling it doesn't.

That said, the AC app v3.4 really should include this functionality!

10-4. Done this many times. It works just fine, as long as you know from experience which the "accept" button is--because there is no way you will be able to read it fully zoomed out!

e-upgrade using iPhone app?

I'm expecting to be quite busy at my T-96, and I might not have access to a computer. Is it possible to use the AC app to upgrade? Or should I open a browser and use the web interface to do so?

you can't use the app, you can only request an upgrade when checking in via the app i believe

open up a browser to get on the WL

Ok, sorry to revive a 2 year old thread, but I didn't wanna start a new one and get ripped for it!

Is this STILL not possible? With all the updates this app has gone through? I was at the movies the other day when my upgrade alarm went off, couldn't do it! I was very surprised. I knew I had seen the "use eUpgrade" check box before, but it was when I was checking in. I tried in safari as well but I couldn't get it to work. I can't think of any reason why they wouldn't be able to do this, but then it can't just be laziness either. The people using the upgrades MOST would be the ones on the road the most as well, many of them would be using iPads/iPhones while at hotels or on the road I'm amazed this hasn't been a priority or a real sticking point for people.

Or is this just a case of me not being able to find a setting somewhere?

This same cr@p behaviour occurs in Firefox. (or at least it did up until a couple weeks ago when I last tried in Firefox)

I have been using IE as of late (cringe) just so that I can do my own eUpgrades and not have to call in and speak with another "I hate my job" grumpy.

First they need to make an app that works well.

Does AC outsource it's IT implementations to ODesk? Nothing beats getting underbid by a "computer programmer" who is an expert at writing bubble sorts as that is all they (note that I did not say software developer or software engineer) from a 3rd world country
