John was by far one of the best in the network.
Super knowledgeable, super proactive, and super helpful with any reasonable request. I think my favorite now is in SFO, but it's a lot easier to develop a relationship when you live at an outstation, so my opinion of John (and Don, Glenn, and Janice) says a lot about YWG Maybe it's just easier to get good service at stations where they don't have Signature Service. |
I didn't know Pat was that new- I just hit SE in 2019- but she's been amazing so far. Sad to hear I missed John though, he sounds like an exceptional concierge.
Just a side note: Danielle in FLL going above and beyond today with luggage, flight changes, upgrades and navigating some delays into YUL. |

I also ensure they know I remember them at holiday times with a gift to each of them. Not sure that would be possible in stations like YYZ, YVR, YUL? |
I just saw the list on AC website that YQB does not have Concierge services but YYJ has. Not sure I can see the logic behind that. YTZ is a little strange although I assume there are a high number of SEs that fly out of that.
Any thoughts? |

Any thoughts? Now this isn't AC specific, but according to Wikipedia YYJ handles almost 2x the passenger volume as YQB. YQB has a lounge though (not AC, but AC accessible), I wish YYJ would add a lounge. |

YYJ only has 2 concierges as far as I know. While they are helpful, I usually email YVR instead because YYJ just doesn't seem to be all that responsive if you're not in the airport. Plus with only two of them, there are often times when they aren't around at all.

Has anyone noticed the quality (in terms of knowledge / experience) of Concierge agents at the central line decline noticeably recently?
Just spoke with an agent about a booking change from BER to MEX via 2 stops in Europe (ZRH/MUC/FRA) and Canada (YYZ/YUL/YVR). I expressed a desire to "take the TATL leg on Air Canada so I can request an upgrade", to which the agent, after some exacerbated searching, replied "I'm sorry but every routing has a leg on Lufthansa or Swiss" (referring to the intra-Europe segment). |
Not me, but a colleague has used it on a few occasions to get him and his non-SE boss off the plane and across the airport to their connecting flight a couple of times. Moreso as a favour to his boss I think as I don’t recall the connection times being particularly bad.

Had a great. Experience with the concierge recently on a few of my trips.
Concierge met me on the bridge and drove me from Vancouver flight to connect in Toronto to my FCO flight. Had 3 hours connection time. Literally took 5 minutes from de-boarding to the signature Lounge. Did not have to go to secondary security. AMS Concierges were great. Was escorted to the crew line upon checking in at Airport to security. at the gate the concierge met me and another SuperElite at the boarding gate and escorted to our seats. We were the first to board. just FYI.. AMS lounge is closed for renovation. They used the Cafe near the lounge as substitute. Awful.. crowded and no power. I left after 5 minutes and sat in the airport. |

Ran off a late YOW-YYZ to catch YYZ-YLW last night.
Concierge hold a sign for Ms I Wish I Was Her, we ran to neighboring gate to learn we had been offloaded due to delay of previous flight and our seats given away. Ms. IWIWH was ushered passed us and onto the flight. We are now on todays Rouge flight to YLW. Just need my missing SQDs to post…. |
