I'm at a loss for what my best strategy is this year.
Normally I go with the extra miles (guaranteed benefit, whereas more than 75% of my upgrades haven't cleared this year).
But my travel patterns are changing. I honestly can't see me remaking even E this year, especially if there's an increase in required mileage to requalify. I just don't have the vacation time, and I'm not traveling for work right now.
I will likely stick with the extra miles so I can maximize what little earnings I o have, and consider getting an AMEX for the check-in privileges, etc.

I have to wait to cross the SE line which I will do on Dec 31, the last day for credits! I am doing a Mileage Run just to retain status.
