Bank of Americar Power Rewards? BOA worldpoints
http://www2.aeroplan.com/earn_miles/...gory=Financial
It seems BOA power rewards qualify.
Can I assume BOA worldpoints also qualify?

Nevermind.. find the fine prints
Maximum 25,000 Bonus Aeroplan Miles can be earned per eligible partner loyalty program per Aeroplan Member. For clarity, Aeroplan Miles per loyalty program will be issued by Aeroplan based on the thresholds outlined as follows: 1,000 Bonus Aeroplan Miles will be deposited into the member's account when the total Aeroplan Miles earned by converting points from that partners program is between 5,000 – 9,999 Aeroplan Miles; or 2,000 Bonus Aeroplan Miles will be deposited into the member's account when the total Aeroplan Miles earned by converting points from that partner's program is between 10,000 – 19,999 Aeroplan Miles; or 4,000 Bonus Aeroplan Miles will be deposited into the member's account when the total Aeroplan Miles earned by converting points from that partner's program is between 20,000 – 49,999 Aeroplan Miles; or 10,000 Bonus Aeroplan Miles will be deposited into the member’s account when the total Aeroplan Miles earned by converting points from that partner’s program is between 50,000 – 99,999; or 25,000 Bonus Aeroplan Miles will be deposited into the member’s account when the total Aeroplan Miles earned by converting points from that partner’s program is 100,000 or more. The calculation of the "total" Aeroplan Miles earned per partner that qualify for the bonus is based solely on conversions made by the member with the partner, in accordance with the partner's terms & conditions, between November 21 and December 12, 2011. Aeroplan is not responsible for errors or omissions made by the partner while executing the conversion transaction on behalf of their member. Bonus miles will be credited into the member's account by Aeroplan as each threshold is reached, and may take up to eight weeks from the date the member makes his/her request with the partner.

Are they joking? Who would want to convert to Aeroplan given the changes they have made this year? I would love to convert my Aeroplan miles to Starwood, not the other way around.

You'd have to be insane to transfer SPG points to Aeroplan. I also wish we could send them the other way.

Another devaluation. 3 years ago you got 25% bonus on whatever number you transferred: 1,000,000 MR's would give you 1,000,000 AE miles and a 25% bonus of 250,000 AE miles. The last 2 years you got 25% but with an upper limit (can't remember the figures). This year you only get 25% if you transfer 100K.

It's no wonder the cost of award redemptions is going up. I'll convert 100k Amex MR points (earned by spending $50k) from my Gold rewards card and get 125k Aeroplan points. That's 2.5 AP points/$, a huge increase from a couple of years ago.

That's why I'm curious what is the portion of miles earned by flying and earned by credit cards for the whole program.
BTW: I assume you use Amex Premier Gold Rewards that earn 2 points on every $1 spent on groceries and gas.

And I'd say for most people, it's credit cards that generate the most miles. Although SEs who fly mostly on AC (like me) and choose the 100% bonus will earn over 200k/year just from flying.

For those of you saying it would be insane to transfer SPG -> Aeroplan, what is a better way to use 20K SPG points?
I mostly collect AMEX MR so I am not too familiar with the best use for SPG (I thought it was to transfer to airlines as well...) in this case, 20K SPG would get 25K AE + 4000 bonus = 29K
And I would also transfer 100K MR into 125K AE. Almost enough for a mini-RTW in F?
