Question Is this normal?

Looked up a biz class reward flight on Continental's website (MUN-ORD op by Lufthansa, ORD-OMA op by United) and also on Aeroplan's site, but had different mile requirements. CO had 100k for 2 passengers and Aeroplan had 120k. Is that normal for being in the same alliance? Was hoping to use 100k Aeroplan miles to book the flight.

Yes it is normal. Each of the airline reward programs in *A has large but subtle differences in points collection, points redemption, privileges for frequent fliers, and additional fees for redemption.

You win some, you lose some.
