20% Promo Code only working for Tango Plus?

The promo offer says "Save 20% on Tango, Tango Plus and Executive Lowest fares wherever we fly within Canada, between Canada and the USA (including Hawaii), the Caribbean, Mexico, South America and Australia. Travel until February 10, 2012."

However when I try to use it to get from YYZ to SFO, only Tango Plus fares show up. If I try YYZ to YVR, I get Tango and Tango Plus.

Where are the promised Executive Lowest fares?

Tango fares are only offered within Canada and (now) to some Asian destinations. It's a way for AC to compete on a Apples-to-Apples basis with other carriers that don't offer Alliance miles as an incentive (WJ, Porter, Hainan, etc.)

Since most of its transborder competitors offer 100% mileage accrual on even the cheapest fares, there isn't a market for Tango fares in there.

DaveTO, it's not the Tango fares I'm looking for. It's the Executive First.

Z fares are available. You just need to look far enough out ( ie 4+ weeks).

+1

Most of the major US markets (SFO/NYC/ORD) have Z fares that require 30-60 days advance booking.

Standard Exec Lowest offering offering on YYZ-SFO is typically Z30EX (30 day advanced purchase)

AC currently has a sale on Exec Lowest for US thanksgiving and the December/January holiday period (24-27 Nov, and 17 Dec-8 Jan), and those are 7 day advance purchase fares in Z and D class.

I used the code on a ticket on that route earlier today in Z.

Ah. Thanks Snow Goose, DaveTO and D582. It's the 30-day advance booking that I was missing.

As usual, there's always more for me to learn! Thanks again.
