Time to panic yet?

My HKG-YVR flight from a week ago on AC still haven't posted yet. The YVR-YYZ flight from the same day has already been posted within 2 days. AC is usually pretty fast in posting their own flights, as AC's flights from HKG are handled by UA in UA's system, it worries me that whether it made it to AC's system. Couple other flights earlier this year from HKG on AC were posted within 3 days and UA flights from HKG were posted in 2 days.

Time to panic yet?

No, no panic necessary. How about giving it a couple more days and if it's still not posted, then call/fax/whatever. Maybe this relates to the fact that you changed the date of the return flight? And you know what we all think of AC's computer systems...

Yup, I did change the dates of my return flight and my AP number was shown on the BP so hopefully it'll show up within the next couple days!

Hmmm... I dunno. From Dancing Lessons:

Watch me pull a rabbit out of this hat.

Hey wait. No rabbit. Where'd it go?

It would appear that if you make any change to your itinerary -- different flights, different dates, different seats, whatever -- you points for that segment will not be posted. Doesn't matter how small the change. Doesn't matter how many times you ask different people to re-insert your FF number on the PNR. Doesn't matter if they engrave your FF number down the entire length of the plane in 3 foot high digits -- it ain't gonna happen. Keep your boarding passes.

Not quite true, KH. On my last MHD, I changed my departure flight from YEG to YYC, and again my YVR to YYZ trips. I have also just changed my final segment from today to July 1st. All my miles on the flights travelled thus far posted within 4-days of my completing the major portion of my MHD on Wednesday. Also, on both recent MHDs I changed the LAX-YVR flight at the airport to catch the 6:30 pm flight rather than the 8:30 pm one I was originally booked on.

Shareholder: I think changing AC operated flights directly with AC is not a problem but making changes on *A flights, then it might create a problem of points not posting, since the HKG-YVR flight is handled by UA system, it's just like flying on a UA operated flight.
