Odd eUpgrade website bug (repeatable)

This is the second time this bug has happened to me:

On an itinerary with YOW-YYZ and then YYZ-MCO flights, I request an eUpgrade for YYZ-MCO. I get upgraded successfully and now try to upgrade the shorter flight and get "Upgrade requested with a paper certificate." and "Not eligible for upgrade" in the "Manage upgrade requests" link. If I wait a while and look at my itinerary, both flights are upgraded. Go to the "Manage upgrade requests" link and get the same odd status for the short flight.

I would have thought most people upgrade a longer flight first so as not to waste an upgrade on a short flight if the longer one does not go through, so its a little odd that there must be some old, buggy code from the paper cert days that hasn't been fixed.

Anyone else have seen this bug? Or is it just me?
