Really? Three mediums? This story makes no sense to me. Why would a pax have three pizzas to give to the crew after their flight, you can't get these on board and there are probably only a couple airports where you can buy them. Did the pax give them to the crew cuz they heard the comment or was it planned? Your story makes no sense.

My thoughts exactly - Who brings 3 med pizza's on a plane, and do you have to put them in the overhead bin or should they be placed under the seat in front of you???? Do you have to stown them during take off??

This story is crackers.

Unless the passenger you are referring to is a pizza delivery guy in training (and with a long delivery haul), what the hell is he doing appearing out of the blue with three pizzas?

Are you telling me (1) he had them on board during the flight, in which case they would be cold and the plane would be smelly, never mind the story he would have had to come up with at security or alternatively (2) he ran ahead and bought them from some in-airport pizza joint ? In the latter case, I wonder where and how this would be possible.

Sorry guys, I should have been more clear.. The passenger gave the gate agent the 3 pizza's PRIOR TO BOARDING THE FLIGHT to give to the crew. - There is a pizza place after security @ SFO in the domestic terminal.

And I don't think it's so crazy to think people would poison food .. People try open emergency exits on a regular basis.. Some people are just crazy.

do all catering staff at airports go through extensive security background checks?
I've somewhat assumed they would wait until after their shift to eat it.

No rule saying you can't bring food inside security, even if it's boxes of pizza.

Just make sure the cheese isn't too gooey, it might then qualify as a liquid

Makes sense for the Gate Agent to hand pilots the pizza..

What Pizza Place? Is it the Wolfgang Pucks.. or the Italian Eatery in the main food court?..

Personally, I like the Japanese restaurant there.. I always get my food there..

There's also no rule that says you can't bring three live chickens and a bag of charcoal on board, but you not see that very often!

Ok, well this sort of clears it up. If I were the captain, I would be less worried about poison and more worried that some creepy stalker is trying to pick me up. But then again, maybe it is just a nice gesture.
