100,000 mile threshold eUpgrade credits for Elites
What happens if an Elite crosses 100k status mile after Oct 15, 2011 - there won't be SE early recognition for the current year, but the eUpgrade threshold table on AC doesn't show Elite beyond the 80k threshold.

From the Air Canada 2011 Benefits guide: http://www2.aeroplan.com/static/pdf/...its_All_EN.pdf
When you qualify for 2012 Air Canada Elite or Super Elite status before October 15, 2011, you will be awarded this status immediately.
You will then enjoy Elite or Super Elite recognition for the remainder of the 2011 Privilege period. An invitation will be sent to you via e-mail to choose your exclusive 2011 Air Canada Elite or Super Elite Select Privileges. Later in the year, another invitation will be sent to you via e-mail to choose your 2012 Air Canada Elite or Super Elite Select Privileges for the 2012 Privilege period ending February 28, 2013.
I would imagine that eUpgrades would accumulate at the SE rate for the remainder of 2011.

I'm not sure why you would think there is no SE early recognition.

If I recall from past postings (from other people), they still award instant SE after that date.

Assume you'd get the credits for 100K threshold as well as those for any other threshold passed until January 1st.

I thought you might be tired of waiting since April 29th from AY and I checked and you will get the E credits credited to your account for crossing the threashold which is something that is managed by Air Canada and NOT by AE. You will NOT receive the immediate status if qualifying after Oct 15th. You will then have to wait until you get the email to select your benefits for 2012 Super Elite in Jan/Feb 2012 and awarded full status on March 1st.

Assuming they handle it like last year, you should get the eUpgrade threshold and receive SE status a little earlier than the following year. This happened to me last year: I missed the official Oct 15 early recognition cutoff (and the unofficial Oct 31 recognition cutoff) - I only crossed 100k in early November but within a few weeks, my profile had been updated to SE and I received threshold certs for passing 105k (which was only listed as an SE threshold, not E threshold).

Looks like AC clarifies this now:

If all goes according to plan, I'll cross 100k on Dec 2nd 2011. I do have several TPAC and TATL flights in Jan/Feb 2012 to use up those credits.

Funny by according to the chart no mention of Oct. 15...

It just says move up to Super Elite...no mention of anything to do with an October 15th date. I read that to mean earn at Super Elite levels from that point, but no early recognition...?
