Is this a valid routing?

Looking to book this for 2 passengers for travel around Dec11-Jan12

YYZ - FRA LH
FRA - FCO LH (Stop - 5 nights(2nd week of Dec) )
FCO - BKK TG
BKK - HKG TG (Destination - 2 weeks 3th&4th week of Dec. )
HKG - ICN OZ (Stop 2-3 days jan12)
ICN - ORD OZ
ORD - YYZ UA

Is this a valid routing for the F Asia award ticketing?

What are the odds of finding F seats on LH, TG, OZ for december travel? I am flexible in terms of which day to travel during that month.

I don't have points with ANA, so can't use their search tool. Is there any other tool for searching availability?

Your itinerary will not work because you will not find any OZ seats between Dec.24 and Jan.29

OZ has pretty extensive blackout periods during which awards are not available to partner airlines, and only for a surcharge to their own members.

You can use awardnexus.com, there is also a couple ways to use ANA without points, an extensive thread on how exists in the BMI forum.

On a positive note, I just booked Dec/Jan and LH/TG F looked wide open where I looked

Can I take the AC direct flight back from ICN to YYZ then?
Although that will increase the Taxes I have to pay for this booking..

Is the F better in LH or TG? Looks like I can go FCO-BKK-HKG with TG, they have 4 in F according to Expertflyer.
or FCO-FRA-HKG with LH and they have 4 in F as well.
Since I already went YYZ-FRA-FCO......if I change that to YYZ-MUC-FCO, then can I go FCO-MUC-HKG with LH?

Also, does LH have F from YYZ to FRA? Looks like its only biz classes..

Any other suggestions for the return portion from HKG, if not through ICN...Trying to reduce the AC metals.

After fair bit of searching through the ANA & Awardnexus, here are some of my options:

1)
YYZ - YUL AC
YUL - MUC LH475
MUC - FCO LH1846 Stop 1 week
FCO - BKK TG 945
BKK - SIN TG 413 Stop 3 days
SIN - HKG SQ866 Stop 3 weeks
HKG - YYZ AC

2)
YYZ - FRA AC876
FRA - FCO LH236 Stop 1 week
FCO - MUC LH1847
MUC - HKG LH730 Stop 3 week
HKG - ICN TG628 Stop 3 days
ICN - YYZ AC

3)
YYZ - YUL AC
YUL - MUC LH475
MUC - FCO LH1846 stop 1 week
FCO - BKK TG 945
BKK - HKG TG600 Stop 3 weeks
HKG - ICN TG628 Stop 3 days
ICN - YYZ AC

Are these routes valid?

Any suggestions on my return back to YYZ, from HKG so I don't have to take AC metal to reduce the amount of taxes?

I am going to suggest United via SFO, the F product equals AC J, if you are paying the whole trip F, why not go F.
Other options include GMP/ICN-HND/NRT-ORD/LAX on NH J/F or UA F

The long haul AC J leg should cost about $250 extra, so its up to you to decide if thats enough value for a non-stop.

The YYZ-FRA AC J leg would also cost about $320 extra, so take LH!

If you are on LH overload, try finding YUL-ZRH-FCO on Swiss F. A good product

If you dont mind leaving from the Island Airport to YUL in Y, it will save you $54 carrier.admin.fee - I did just that, I dont mind the one hour in Y.

Thanks for all your suggestions..

Doesn't look like I can get any award seats for the first week of Jan. from HKG or ICN to YYZ via /NRT/ORD/SFO.

Might have to use AC from ICN or HKG....With SE, I checked Aeroplan website, and I can book 2 J's ICN to YVR/YYZ or HKG to YYZ. Just might have to pay the extra fee's.....

How does the Swiss F compare to the LH F?

LX F (new or old) is much better than LH F IMHO. One of the very best in the *A.

Just booked this with AE.

YYZ YUL AC 410 12/6 J Class
YUL ZRH LX 087 12/6 F Class
ZRH FCO LX 1736 12/7 J Class
FCO - BKK TG 945 12/12 F Class
BKK - HKG TG600 12/13 F Class
HKG - ICN TG628 12/29 J Class
ICN - YYZ AC 64 1/2/12 J Class

All these for 120,000 points and $280 in Taxes/fees + $30 booking fee

Not bad at all, was surprised the Fees wasn't higher, as I had to take couple of AC flights.

Thanks for all the help here!!!

Well done!

Check your fee breakdown - if there is no "carrier administration charge", you got away with one You should be about $350 in those alone, but it looks like "auto-price" someone else mentioned here worked in your favour.

I just checked my pdf receipt, and its the same... unreal
How is this legal to lump it all together?????
When some are govt taxes, and some are co-pay going directly to AC/AE!

Anyway - If one actually goes to Manage Rewards in your Aeroplan account, that has a more detailed breakdown.
