wine in a plastic cup in J

I am in a J seat on Delta at JKF to seattle, sipping my wine from a plastic cup. I miss my AC metal already.

I think I just passed the snob test.

Well, think of it this way: With the money you saved on DL, you can go get yourself a set of wine glasses.

And the time saved flying direct vs. through YYZ and YVR on AC.

Three points:

1. Be careful what you wish for.
2. Every form of refuge has it's price (Eagles, 1975).
3. In 50 years this experience won't matter.

I hope you had a good flight/trip, and that the wine was "acceptable". ^

you should snag one of the branded glasses from the Maple Leaf Lounge, and use it on your next DL flight.

The Dl flights give you internet access so that should keep you occupied. I'dtake internet (FT Access) over glasses any day.

Was this the pre-flight drink or the in-flight drink? My experience from my Platinum days with NWA/DL was that they served their pre-flight drinks in plastic cups and the in-flight in glass.

Even on AC they'll pour your drink into a plastic cup for take-off. If you're like me and board at the last possible minute and then have to flag down the FA to say you would still like a pre-flight drink you sometimes get it in a plastic cup if the plane is about to push back.

Only domestically for juice and H2O. Internationally in E/F it's a glass glass.

Talking of Exec. First, what´s the sparkling wine served pre-departure?

yup, when going DEN-YVR-YYZ, I stole my UA pillow and blanket from (upgraded for free) domestic F to use on my crappy redeye coach AC flight in the back.

My plastic drink in J on CO was confiscated for takeoff, not even 50% done!

At least on AC metal, I get to keep the drink and consume or spill it all over myself during takeoff in any manner I choose

sorry, but the wine AC serves in J is going to taste the same in a plastic cup or a silly O glass. i remember drinking some 1995 Harlan Estate out of a styrofoam cup....tasted pretty darn good. i would take better wine if AC could save some cash and use plastic - i mean, these are pretty nice to travel into pretty exotic locales to have something nice to drink out of....http://www.govinowine.com/press.html
