Problems with OLCI

Over the course of the past week, keep getting "unfortunately your on-line check in request cannot be completed..." even though it is within 24hrs of the last connecting flight, it is AC metal not a code-share, etc.
I even removed cookies from my computer...used another computer at the office...nothing...still same message, for different files, different pax, different originating cities. Now I have been waiting on hold for 20+ minutes while it is being "investigated"...not a happy camper. Not getting any comparable error issues when at aa.com or delta.com ... any ideas from among the masses as to what the problem is -- these are published fares, not consolidator tariffs....

I had similar issues on my last few flights. It's been happening on a more regular basis lately. Not sure why. I was lucky: I already had seat assignments (and at the time that it mattered, my upgrade request had cleared).

SSSS reminder? What is that again?

OLCI

After many tries, all of a sudden, ONE of the two files allowed for OLCI....but the second one still did not. However, was able to get the Res Agent to assign the seats (this was on a Tango fare with 24hr advance seating at OLCI), and couldn't care less about notifying for checked baggage in advance...this was for domestic travel ex YYC, 1 pax for YVR and onwards to MEX, the other for YYZ onwards to YUL.

That was my fate yesterday as I collected my YYZ-EWR boarding pass at FRA (unable to get that final segment on either OLCI which I was able to do on LH's site as I had an inbound connecting MAD-FRA flight on that carrier. I prepared for the worst as I arrived extra early for my flight (delayed FRA-YYZ last night meant I missed original EWR flight and was rebooked for this morning), paperwork assembled, bag repacked for easy inspection. Though there were a dozen souls sitting in the waiting area of the Seconday room at T1, the agent doing initial doc review sent me directly to a customs officer who began the process.

Actually quite painless once I explained why I was flying into EWR this morning and flying back this afternoon.

Still not sure what triggered this but it is my second for the Americans who seem to spot check every year or so. Haven't yet had a Secondary using NEXUS or an agent entering Canada...though this afternoon could be a first!
