What to do in Pearson...
travelling through YYZ in early April GLA>YYZ>YFC...
booked on AC840 arriving 13.00 and AC8604 leaving 19.50 with a rather long wait...
Would I make the AC8602 leaving 13.50 (change terminals I believe?)...?
What to do (limited $$$s and no MLL access) for 6 hrs 50 mins...?
Never been in a F28 - what are seats 5 A & C like and are they adjacent ?
Any thoughts are appreciated...
Regards

It would probably be difficult to get to the downtown and back in your time frame as you would need to budget at least 60 minutes each way for the bus (there is no rail or subway link).
Look like you will be stuck at the airport or if you are lucky maybe you can make the 13:50 flight!
Good luck

Depends on the baggage situation. Without checked baggage, Int.-Dom. is easily done in under 50 minutes.
With checked baggage, however, it's a lot more difficult. LHR won't tag you on the flight at 13:50, which means you have to get your bags over to T2 to check in. By the time you have retrieved them, cleared Customs, and made it to T2, you will be cutting it extremely fine. Without status, checking in at T2 could take a while.
But why worry? The schedule will change by then, anyway.

If you have time and like to get more miles... why not try Toronto - YFC through the downtown airport YTZ? This requires an additional connection in Ottawa or Montreal but you get to go to Toronto downtown.
YYZ and YTZ are considered co-terminals so a flight can connect in either place.
Now the question is, why do you want to go to Toronto downtown and end up in traffic and crowd anyway.

If you miss the 13:50 flight I would agree that the downtown is too far away.
However you could get to a gym to work out at for an hour or so and have a shower. I use Monster Gym at 40 Ronson Drive (416) 243-2503 it is a very short drive from YYZ about three to five minutes. They have a daily fee for non members of about $5. You will feel great afterwards.

If you included an email address on your FlyerTalk profile, perhaps some nice elite would contact you about sending a MLL guest pass your way.

Toronto will be your port of entry into Canada. You will have to clear customs/immigration in YYZ and collect all checked luggage. I have never tried getting between 2 terminals, but I remember seeing bus service that should be able to take you to T2. Assuming that you received all boarding passes in GLA, you won't be required to receive new boarding passes for your flight to YFC.
If you want to go shopping, then consider Square One in Mississauga. It's suppose to be one of the biggest(or busiest) malls in Canada. It should only take you about 30 minutes to get there from YYZ.
Dowtown Toronto is too far away like everyone has previously mentioned. The traffic can be quite notorious, which would mean that you would have chances of missing your connecting flight.
You can always wander around YYZ for hours.. Perhaps you want to look at all the construction going on at T-New? Watch planes?? I don't know what there is to do in airports, besides using the MLL.

NNA, I wouldn't dismiss the idea of visiting downtown Toronto. On a number of occasions I've had visitors from the US who have come for a downtown meeting with less time between their inbound and outbound flights than you have. What day is your trip?
