Maybe, given the complaints on the lack of drinking at the event, the title should read "Carousing with the enemy", since sleeping with the enemy has not been confirmed.

It's funny cuz it's true.

Let WJ Service the Infrequent / Frugal Travelers!

I have to say I think that Westjet plays an important role in servicing the:

a) Frugal, infrequent business traveler
b) Leisure travelers - the folks who fly once or twice a year at most

You know - the people that are the biggest pain in the a** in the security line?

These folks are very price sensitive and really don't care much about the actual in-flight product - hence no need for business class or a real frequent flyer program.

Do they even want to do this?

WJ is already somewhat international with its flights to 'Vegas and the Caribbean so what more is needed for the traveler types I cite above? If you want to go to Europe on the cheap, fly TransAt or Condor.

Ahhh VBIT's they come out of the woodworks in the next few weeks during the holidays!

Westjet serves a purpose most definitely! They are also stronger out West with more flight offerings. Out east they sure can't compete with AC's 48 flights a days YUL-YYZ and 36 flights YOW-YYZ.

Watch the drinking and just make sure you wear a condom if you are drinking/sleeping with the enemy! You don't' know what you can catch! You may even wake up with a new westjet joke to open off a business meeting or share with a friend!

He said it was his wife's FRIEND who got them the invite. I assume if he was sleeping with said friend, his wife and her would no longer be getting along well enough to go to Christmas parties together.

You shouldn't make assumptions like that without all the facts. Maybe my wife and her friend are SUPER close friends, and like to share everything......

(I mean, that's totally not the case, but a man can dream, can't he?)

I don't know if their a pain in the a**. I really enjoy seeing them ask several times as to "since when can I not take a bottle of water or my nail clippers on the plane?" It only delays me 5-10 minutes when I'm behind them and their bags go through multiple times and they beep when they go through the magnetic thing, amazed at the fact that their belt sets it off...if it wasn't for them, we wouldn't spend time in line....

And they say owners care.....pfffft
Owners care you know.
