Just booked a stopover rate at Sheraton Gateway for $21.00. No brainer. Was on a J ticket.

So are Aeroplan tickets.
When I booked a stopover hotel I was given two choices.
One for a couple $$ and another nicer hotel for about $40.
J ticket.

When we booked Aeroplan tickets (same itin as AC) we were not offered stopover (but were with AC). I didn't know Aeroplan was part of the stopover program. Yes J/Premium rouge tickets offer free stopover. We have not been offered other options for a slight fee.

No, they're also offered for lower fares, but not necessarily "free".

Why don't you just look at AC's site? https://www.aircanada.com/en/traveli...ller/stopover/

EDI-YYZ-BDA in N + B on stop-over

I have a trip next month EDI-YYZ-BDA booked in N for the first leg and B for second leg. Using the stop-over program some hotels at YYZ were for free, others required a supplement. Paid $65 for Sheraton Gateway T3 YYZ.
The program was offered during the on-line booking process. No issues.:)
^Impressed with with ACr & AC in trying to encourage INTL travellers to transit via Canada. ( My alternative was on BA via LGW Eng.:td:)

Has anyone done the stopover program in YVR?

Which hotels were offered?

yqtyyz Sep 3, 2016 6:15 am

I've stayed at the Holiday Inn near the MINI dealership several times (no other hotel options were offered online), and a relative has stayed at The Sandman (she had a choice of three from which to choose).

Air canada hotel stopover

Just wondering if anybody has used the hotel stopover option yet and what are the pros and cons? I know it says rooms start at $49 but was wondering if all the hotels are around that price or nowhere near or if it's only for airport hotels. Interested in info from Toronto airport

I used it all the time when travelling to Bogota, usually there are 3 hotels to pick and I pick Sheraton by T3. I travel in J so I get the hotel for free, and hotel is absolutely worth it even if it's $49. If you opt hotel airport it will cost you $100+

Goodluck!

I just booked my YVR hotel stop over.

I was offered the choice of:
Holiday Inn Airport
Sandman Inn Airport
Sandman Signature Richmond

For myself booking (Revenue J): $0 for Holiday Inn & Sandman Inn, $6 for Sandman Signature Richmond

For my wife (Reward J): add $50 to the above prices.

We went with the $0 booking option.

For the sake of comparison, here was what I was recently offered at YYZ with a Tango/Rouge economy revenue ticket:

Sandman Signature - $103
Quality Suites - $107
Sheraton Renaissance - $108
Holiday Inn - $122
Sheraton Gateway - $133

Rates are tax-included. They seem to represent about a 30-50% discount off the rack rate. Depending on what corporate or other discounts you have access to, that may or may not be a good deal. YMMV.
