150k Threshold

I just recently hit the 150k Threshold, I have not been able to select my reward in the Top Tier section of the website, and today in the mail I received 2 SWU's.

I was hoping to select a different reward, such as the 2 Nights hotel reward, since I have more SWU's then I likely will be able to use.

Or do I get those automatically and perhaps can choose the reward of my choice online?

---------
2010 Flights : CO 6, SQ 5, LH 4, TG 3, BR 2, CX 3, FD 2, QR 2, OS 2, SK 2, TR 1, AY 1, PR 1

2009 Flights : SQ 24, UA 15, AK 8, KE 6, PR 5, MX 5, 5J 3, MH 3, CX 3, (3K,DG,EY,JL,LH 2) (AA,AC,AM,CO,NW,OZ,TG 1)

I remember that I was able to select my award in the Top Tier section of Aeroplan. The SWU's you received is part of the Threshold Upgrades and should not be confused with the Threshold bonus gifts.

I find it interesting that you are AC SE, yet you almost never step a foot in AC metal, only one flight in 09 on AC .. !

I don't blame AC for SE IKK Capacity Control ...

really interesting...

I had a random discussion with an AC employee and status came up, I said yes I am AC*E... then laughed saying I can qualify on non-AC flights alone. He said he hears that a often.

Thanks for the info, I will wait a few more days, and then give them a call if I can't select from the website.

With my current job I don't get to select my carrier, company does, and rather hard to get to Europe or southern US with AC from SIN, and I don't feel like changing programs. I would love to fly AC, and take advantage of my status, hopefully sooner rather than later! Aeroplan is actually a great program for reward flights in Asia.

Oh is that per year? I thought it was just a cumulative total. But makes sense if it is only per year. I'm at 52k this year, so who knows maybe possible. 300k per year would be impressive!

I am currently setting on 47K, all on AC plate and mostly on AC metal, other codeshared legs are for destinations where AC doesn't fly there.

AC makes the rules, the passenger plays the game I guess AC gets paid enough from the other airlines for the miles or they would not have been giving SE the perks.
Also your comment that you dont blame AC for SE IKK Capacity Control??

How has this changed anything? This passenger still has IKK and he is playing the game with the rules.^ Good for him. After 10+ years if AC wanted to stop it they could have. They have cut SE for 10 years and this was not one of the cuts.

If you have 52K this year you will not be able to get the 150K benefits--website problems notwithstanding. You should be getting 2 SSWU in the mail soon for crossing the 40K threshold as you are SE.

Actually, come to think of it, my status this year is from NZ, CO, UA, and future flights will be on UA, TK, LX and MS. I'll only fly AC on their 15k award or using a buddy pass.

I guess I am a douche after all
