classes for SE Priority Awards

What classes need to be available to book a SE Priority Award? I see Y's and Z's available on a number of flights (YYZ-LGA 3/14 AM) but nothing showing on Aeroplan as a Priority Award?

Just sign in as an SE Member and you'll see any flight you want. Or just call the SE Desk....

I logged in as SE but these flights that have C and Y available and seats for sale on aircanada.ca do not appear. I called the SE desk and they told me that whatever is online is all there is.

You are doing something wrong.

YYZ-LGA MAR 14 : 15:15; 16:15; 17:15; 18:15 are available for IKK in J or Y

I think zam was looking for a morning flight, and those ones don't show up. But those flights are all Y0 or Y1 so they're likely oversold and ineligible for IKK.

But some morning flights are even showing 3 Z's. I thought that the new capacity controls were for overseas flights only

If a flight is 0 in the back (oversold) no IKK awards will be issued. The Z3 indicates that AC would sell you a revenue Exec under the SE guaranteed revenue seat, but all open seats in front are being held in case of opups. This has been standard policy even under the old, old IKK.

got it. thanks! Hope something opens up. My fault for forgetting it was spring break in TO and assuming there would be lots of space on a Sunday morning.

Isn't Z a discounted exec class available for anyone to purchase? Or did that change with the fare class re-alignment?

And I think that the SE guaranteed revenue seat is only for economy. They will sell you either a J or Y ticket, but only guarantee an economy seat.

no. something is still funny. now looking on the return 3/15 lga-yyz. seeing 9 Z, 9 Q, V , W etc. -even 9 R seats for sale at $116 on the 2040 (AC 727) yet on SE login not even getting one priority award availability for that flight Eco or Bus. They must be blocking off flights or am I missing something else
