What seats to choose in J on 763 with a baby?

Just went into our booking YYZ-LHR to discover the aircraft has changed from a 77W to a 763

Third time this has happened to me with AC recently, so I guess it is a regular thing...

Are there any advantages at all in J on the 763 vs. the 777?

Anyway, I now need to re select my seats and not sure what seats to go for.
Cabin layout is now 1x1x1 and is currently wide open (except front row) so not sure what would be best for 2 adults and an infant?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Many thanks.

On the 763xm the F/K seats are not offset like they are in the forward cabin of the 77L/77W. Your only real choice is do you want to sit in front of each other (eg 4A/5A) or across from each other (4F/4K). If you choose to sit across from each other, make sure it's F/K not A/F since there is a wall only 3 - 3 1/2 ft high on the left (facing forward) side of the F seats.

One other thing... just to make sure you knew that there are NO provisions for bassinets in XM J.

We always preferred row 8 F/K, was always quiet so our infant was able to sleep.

Agree - 8F/K. Also - there will likely be infants in the row behind you in Y, so if your baby cries, you can look backwards and imply that it's the one behind you making the noise . Note to other travellers - avoid the last rows of J if you don't tolerate children's noise.

Good question! I can't remember now but I did take some advice before choosing them.

Thanks for all the advice here ands sorry I am only just getting back to my post but been out all day.

I guess I'll aim for row 8 then.

Is there any advantage at all with J on the 763s over the 77Ws?
are they pretty much alike?

Only thing that might be nicer on the 767 is the J cabin is smaller?

You do need a window seat for J in a 763.

No second oxygen mask on the isle seat

If the baby cries, rows 30 and higher are the best J seats...
