AC033/034 missing?
Anyone know if they're reducing SYD service in the winter?

I was confirmed AC034/19NOV SYD-YVR and it no longer exists on that day.

Just a usual seasonal ad-hoc reduction during the shoulder period; this happens every year on most international routes.

but now it's leading to an invol downgrade (IMHO) since I paid Lat to confirm J, and now my only option is to cancel or fly via LAX in Y since I have to be back in YYZ on the 19th.

Cannot you fly on 18th?

I am in the same boat with AC7 which does not operates on Mon and Wed with the winter schedule. My choices were to connect via NRT and code-share on NH to HKG or leave a day earlier or later.

I've also bought Latitude and my upgrade was confirmed and no, AC refused to put me in J on their code share with NH.

stay on AC flights and they will confirm your J, go to another airline and they cant do much
PS you might also go home via LHR and get the upgrade from LHR to YVR.
why fly is offline

The ticket is acutally YYZ-YVR-SYD MEL-SYD-YVR-YYZ. with YYZ-YVR-SYD on the 14th (arriving 16th) and then MEL-SYD 18th, SYD-YVR-YYZ 19th. I cannot make an early enough connection on the 18th to catch SYD-YVR on the 18th.
