Madagascar -> Mauritius

Hey there.
I'm new to this site and am planning a trip to east africa.

wanted to check something I couldn't find an answer to:

is there a way to go from Madagascar to Mauritius by sea?
if there is, how can I find it? and what are the prices?

Thank you.

some cruise ships make this route

only as part of longer cruises. Why do you wish to go by sea? There are lots of flights.

This question is asked quite a bit over on the Thorn Tree forum and there doesn't seem to be any reliable way to go by sea.

But like ijkh said, there are loads of flights for under $350 r/t from MRU. I'm sure a boat would be a story-worthy experience, but I'm willing to bet the real fun starts in Madagascar so hurry up and get there!

(I'm Madagascar bound in October...can't wait!)
