There are several at the airport in JNB, outside of the customs hall. Be very careful in how you use an ATM in South Africa, there are numerous scams and they are often successful in draining your account completely. Do not use any ATM that looks like it has add-on parts (they install a card reader as a front-end to the real atm, and record both your card data and your keyboard input). If your card is out of your possession for any reason, and you don't know what happened, you can assume that it has been compromised and best to check on the account status -- or just report it stolen. This is a big problem in several African countries and the scams are quite sophisticated.

Also look around as you use an ATM - sometimes a lookout uses a cel phone to announce your success to his colleague, who will at some point approach you and jostle you. Perhaps it will be the old "squirt" job where they will "help" you clean up, or perhaps the "mock fight" where they will throw one of their group into you while looking like they are angry at each other.
