Smile Burundi to implement the East African Tourist Visa (EATV)

"Burundi to implement the East African Tourist visa"

A great news for all the travellers heading off to Kenya, Rwanda and Uganda with the common EATV!
Before the end of the year 2018, one will also be able to visit this beautiful tiny nation along with the 3 aforementioned countries with the same visa.
For the moment one should apply to the nearest embassy for either a transit or 90 day visa.
Fee should remain the same but more details have yet to come.

Now you just need to book your tickets and pack all your stuffs (without forgetting the mosquito repellent)

Link and video in French (sorry):

If only Tanzania, and hopefully in the near future as soon the political stability gains South Sudan, would adopt this policy It would be beneficial to everyone translating in the genuine and united East African Community. A matter of time certainly....

Great news, although after visiting the Burundi Embassy in Moscow, the visa itself doesn't seem to be that hard to get anyway.

Watching this space!

Any further updates or news on the Burundi addition to the East African Visa? I am visiting this region in November and would like a quick trip to Bujumbura.

Did this end up happening, or any updates on if it is even in the works anymore?
