Calling the EI experts! oneworld comparison chart 2001

Hello! It's my first time posting in this forum.

I've taken over maintenance of the oneworld comparison chart originally put together by tedhl et. al. and I've created a website for it at: http://home.webflyer.com/fewmiles/oneworld/ but since the previous incarnation of the comparison chart (circa 1999), the oneworld alliance has changed significantly. CP is now gone having been swallowed by competitor AC and now EI, AY, LA, and IB have joined.

As I have very little knowledge of the non-North American FF programs, I need lots of help filling in the details.

If any EI flyers out there would be able to help by filling the details for EI, it would be much appreciated. (Their website does not give complete info.) The current EI chart can be found by going to the website above, selecting Aer Lingus from the "view by airline" category and clicking the "Go" button.

Thanks in advance,
FewMiles..

FewMiles,

Thank you for taking on this task.
I've used both your FF resources and the Unofficial AA guide several times and am now a Platinum on AA thanks to a challenge (and well on my way to requalifing the old-fashioned way).

I am probably going to be flying EI for the first time next month and will tell you anything that I can find out.

Thanks again!

Fewmiles,

Some more info:

Upgrades (domestic & int'l): Gold Circle Prestige members receive 2 single-sector complimentary upgrades, valid for any economy fare. These are not given as vouchers, but recorded electronically. Elite members receive 4 of these.

The rest of the info currently on the website covers pretty much everything else!

Hope this is of some help,

The only comment that I have is that for USA residents there is no advantage to having a TAB over AAdvantage account.

Based on flying LAX to DUb, it takes 9 rountrips(TAB) versus 4 or 6 r/t(Aadvantage) to get a free coach ticket. Plus TAB miles expire after 5 years I belive.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info eireman and star_world!

Maybe I should just join all 8 oneworld FFPs to get more info! (I actually just signed up for BA last week. Perhaps get CX, QF, IB, EI, AY, and LA too?)
