Cannot Enter API information for Child

I made an Aer Lingus reward booking using AS miles for 2 adults and 2 children. When I try to enter the API data I get an error on both children saying that "Adults must be between 12 and 100 years old" and cannot proceed.

Is the only way to enter this information via calling?

Yes, that's right.

Also, you don't need to enter the API. The main reason airlines have it is to save time at check-in. Showing up at the check-in desk, Passports in hand, does the same thing. That's if you didn't want to call in, of course.

Yeah, I was trying to save some time. It is going to be a stressful trip for them with kids in tow so was looking to help speed things up wherever I could.

Thanks for the info!

Apparently EI has a Whatsapp number, and according to another poster, they will respond, though it may take a few days. Rather than call the regular CS# you could message them the details thru Whatsapp. Worth a shot IMO
