EIEIK / EIEIL Refurb

Hi,
Does any one know when the refurbishment is happening? Are these dates locked in?
These are the old Quatar planes AL are using.

Thanks.

I read on another forum that was happening during Q1 2024 - how true that is or not, I don't know.

Q1 2024 is the latest comms, possibly getting a 'new' cabin design

They are currently limited to MIA, MCO and YYZ

I've picked EIK out of ORD this evening, and what a dowdy aircraft it is. Of course, tonight was the night I *really* needed a power socket. I'm just thankful I'm not in a window seat where half the footspace is obliterated by an IFE box (for the c.2003 IFE system?).

If this was my first or frequent experience of an EI 330 (and having read up on that cabin configuration on the website), I'd be probably pushing EI down my list of airline choices across the Atlantic.

I am told that the decision about their entry into maintenance is imminent and that it is expected that both refurbs will be done by end May.

FNH came back from Bordeaux this morning so I'd expect to see another hull heading that way early this week

One last time for me DUB-MCO on Saturday just past. The crew mentioned that one refurb was in process and this bird was headed there next. I won't miss it, but I have to say that, sitting in the middle aisle, I had a great 3 or 4 hours of the flight chatting to the stranger next to me. It was like the old days, facilitated in no small part by the lack of wi-fi.
Nostalgia - it ain't what it used to be!

The cabin looks so drab. Been there, not nice memories.

I have two sets of family back and forth DUB-MCO over the next couple of weeks so we'll see if they are cycled out and what they are replaced with

I wonder if these planes have now gone for refit?
It looks like EIK was last used on 13th January and EIL on 14th January. Until this point, as far as I can tell, they were both in service pretty much every day.

Ironically, looks like I was on the last flight - ORD-DUB on 13JAN. Just my luck to be the last person to get the old cabin.
