New Checkin Layout at LHR
At LHR last week I went up to the AerClub lane to find it cutoff and that all passengers were routed to go through one checkin agent first who prints your boarding pass and then directs you to the next agents to get your bag tag.
It was quite strange at first, he looked closely at my AerClub tag and asked me "why didn't you use the checkin machine", after him there are two lanes an AerClub and general lane for getting your bag tag, I went to the AerClub lane despite his instruction on going to the general lane and then the next agent at the bag tag lane told me "why don't you just use the machine" and then when I said I was AerClub he said "oh let me see your card then" (despite being in the AerClub lane for checkin).
Anyone else have any thoughts on this? It's a very strange and confusing layout now. Used to be very simple, one lane for AerClub and one lane for everyone else, you went up and they did everything and you left with a smile... now it's a nightmare.
