Inaugural BTS Flight
I am curious what can I expect (if anything special) when I fly Inaugural flight, in this case BTS flight ATH -> BTS. I am thinking to have some days off that time in Greece and considering to fly to BTS instead of VIE. Anyone has flown one of A3 inaugural flight recently?

I’ve flown the inaugural one from AMS quite a few years ago in May 2016. This was a coupon upgrade and I was seated in the C cabin with some Aegean execs that were present at the formalities at AMS.
From what I remember they handed out a baseball cap and keychain to all pax, rest of the service on board was normal. On the ground there were some drinks and a few speeches by Schiphol and Aegean execs. Not sure how much of the ground experience was organised by Schiphol and what part was set up by Aegean.

I flew the inaugural RAK-ATH flight in April 2019. Got offered the baseball cap, and something else I can't exactly remember, on the plane when boarding.
Otherwise, nothing much: no speeches, no indication it was an inaugural at the airport. On the other hand got some of the worst treatment at any airport, dude closed fast track security because he didn't want to run it and man it. Even tried to turn me away before that when he said it wasn't for people without status and I proved that I did. And closed it exactly when he realised that.

Aegean just canceled or postponed flights to Bratislava. I know minimum 6 people with tickets. Will fly to Spain instead. Annoying. We just cant have normal airline in Bratislava.

thanks for letting me know headingwest. I booked 3 of these flights one of them is for Sept which I also upgraded with seat upgrade coupon (only one "I" seat per flight at the moment), now let's wait for cancellations all of these and deal with rebooking to/from VIE...
