I recall a thread where someone asked why A3 is only a short-haul carrier and we were explaining that for airline whose home market is so seasonal it does not make sense to invest in long-haul fleet. Looks like we were wrong and A3 just started a hidden long-haul route

Thanks for posting.

Interesting to see that Aegean seems to have added +20% more seats over the last year (and +22% ASKs). This implies that they not only offered more flights/capacity, but also that the average flight length actually grew larger. I was under the impression that the NEO's were coming in to mainly replace the older CEO's, but it sounds like the CEO's are not being removed as quickly as the Neo's are being added.

Sounds like the animawings experiment is done. I wonder if the aircraft that will be returned will allow for further expansion of the Aegean network, or, if these are some of the older ones to be returned/scrapped anyway.

The 2 aircrafts will surely help the situation with the Pratt & Whitney engines on the neos that need inspection/repairs.

The adverse USD movement did what now?
(USD-EUR yearly charts only show movements between 1,05 and 1,10, so how could this have had such a serious impact?)
