Is this 125% real or an urban myth? Yeah - I can see that there must/should/might be some limit, but I've asked before and never had reference to the actual "rule" that states this. Isn't it more likely that there is a soft limit that varies between airline/ffp program/region/booking class or even specific route?

25M (125% of MPM) is a standard value published by IATA. You can find these values in GDS or ExpertFlyer/KVS.
For example, on DEL-ICN:

The direct distance is 2896 miles, the MPM is 3480 miles, and 25M is 4350 miles.
In general, for MPM-based revenue fares, routings are permitted as long as they don't exceed 25M, but there is often a fare surcharge for exceeding MPM. For award tickets, depending on issuing carrier and award type, routing rules may be MPM based or not.

Some other FFPs do follow 125% as a rule, such as AAdvantage, which could start a belief that it is industry wide.
As for what Aegean's booking tool's full and specific rules are, or what can be permissibly constructed by a phone agent, I cannot say as I am merely a heavily interested amateur and not an insider with that kind of knowledge.
What I can say is that the published terms+conditions for mileage redemption does not indicate that they have any MPM constraint on routings of award tickets, only that you are limited to one stopover of less than 24hrs in the routing.

So, I insisted 3 times and the 3rd agent was very knowledgeable and she talked with the ticketing department and downgraded the reservation from O to I. Now she said that the ticket will be reissued and the difference ok 15K miles will be credited in my account in the coming days. During this move, the original seats from F cabin were kept

Just booked: SFO - LIS - VIE with TAP A330neo + TAP A321 in J for 45k miles + 17eur in fees.

Thanks for the alert. Booked a reverse trip, lower taxes. might drop the other leg.
check other routes, seems still not available in J. Maybe because of aircraft change starts from July, someone forgot to block J from partners.

Just theoretically, I am not sure if ANA make some award space for partners on A380 HNL-TYO but if so it might be good opportunity to get to or from Europe for 60k in F on ANA. But does anybody know if HNL flight has even space even long time ahead? Cant check as I am under 60k in A3 now.
