Update 2019-11-21 by jiunsoh:
Ibis Styles Cheras left Accor and rebranded as Prescott Ace.
Update 2019-05-30 by jiunsoh:
Pullman Bangsar will stay as AccorHotels. This hotel now reserved parking lots for Platinum member.
Update 2019-05-18 by jiunsoh:
Pullman Bangsar may leave accorhotels group 1st June 2019. The property owner may rebrand it to other chain.
Update 2019-04-21 by jiunsoh:
Mercure Shaw Parade is now installing bath gel dispenser at their bathroom, to replace bottled bath amenities.
Starting April 2019, the new issued Accorplus complementary buffet voucher has removed Sofitel Damansara, so Pullman KLCC is the only place Accorplus member can redeem their buffet voucher.
Update 2019-02-18 by jiunsoh:
Sofitel Damansara club lounge now has a corner specially for guest with kids.
Update 2019-02-05 by jiunsoh:
Sofitel Damansara updated new policies for lounge access, dress code should be smart casual, and only allow guest 12yr old above.
They also adjusted the time of afternoon tea and happy hour, both sessions moved 30min earlier
Afternoon tea: 1430 - 1630
Happy hour: 1730 - 1930 (they also improved their happy hour food offering)
Banyan tree Kuala Lumpur,
The Bake (lobby cafe) updated accorplus discount policy, they still allow up to 50% discount for dine-in, but no more discount for take away.
Altitude (cafe bar located at level 53) allow accorplus up to 50% for afternoon tea set, normal price MYR 98 / pax which includes free flow of coffee and tea.
Normally accorplus 50% discount only applicable at main restaurant, while cafe and bar get only 15% discount. Maybe banyan tree is still new to the program so they unaware of this, so they might change again anytime soon.
Update 2019-01-28 by jiunsoh:
Novotel Kuala Lumpur City Center started major renovation since November-2018, targeting to complete first phase by June 2019.
There is no executive lounge during these period, but they still serve happy hour at level 1 Qing Zhen chinese restaurant, 5:30 - 7:30pm.
Pullman Putrajaya will exit Accor Group after 28-Feb-2019, according to their staff they will close 4 months, rebrand to Hilton.
Pullman Kuala Lumpur City Center, starting 1-feb-2019, RED Chinese restaurant will only provide 20% flat rate discount for A+ member, their staff told me this change will be permanent.
Mercure Selangor Selayang, this hotel used to have a executive lounge that allow premier floor guest, Gold and Platinum to access, but they decided to close it few months ago.

Hi Jiunsoh ,. . . this is a really useful thread for KL regulars and visitors.
I was wondering, if you have time, could you possibly update the wiki with the Club Lounge children access rules at least for the Club Lounges in KL (and later for Malaysia as a whole if regional Lounge policies are known) ??
My understanding is that in KL only the following Accor hotels operate Club/Executive etc Lounges:
(In brackets I will put my recollection (from personal Stays and recent postings by other FTers) of current policies although I may well be wrong and the situation in each hotel may still be fluid as guests are generally divided on this issue.)
Novotel KLCC (open to anybody at any time, although the actual new Lounge is closed for renovation at this time)
Pullman Bangsar (only children above 12 ? or is this only for Cocktails ?)
Pullman KLCC (only children above 12 ? or is this only for Cocktails ?) (I just saw your reply to my question regarding this hotel after I posted this . . . thank you)
Pavilion Hotel Managed by Banyan Tree (I have no idea)
Sofitel Damansara (open to anybody at any time but families will supposedly be asked to sit in a small designated area at the back . . .my guess is that with no written policy this designated area policy will be unworkable as it is far too small)
KL seems to have enough hotels to offer Accor guests a choice of Lounge preference if different hotels set different rules.

Mercure Shaw Parade
2 months ago, the hotel started to switch their bath amenities at privileged room to an unknown brand name "classic". My understanding is this unknown brand was actually for standard room, while their privileged room stocked with mercure amenities. Hotel explanation was they running low on Mercure amenities, but they can still provide it upon request.
starting this month, noticed that they installed bath gel dispenser at privileged room! No more bottled amenities.
same story, they can still provide those mercure brand amenities upon request.
I dont like the dispenser type, just cant imagine how the housekeeping or previous guest handle the dispenser.

very sadly, starting April 2019, the new issued Accorplus complementary buffet voucher (for new signup and renewal) has removed Sofitel Damansara, so now Pullman KLCC is the only place Accorplus member can redeem their buffet voucher.
Accorplus Malaysia is losing their ground in recent years, 2 years ago Pullman Bangsar decided to pull out from accepting accorplus voucher, and then this year Pullman KLCC chinese restaurant stop providing standard accorplus discount, and now Sofitel not accepting buffet voucher.

By the way, is the Pavilion Hotel by Bayan Tree participating?

That's a surprise. I think you meant the Complimentary Lunch & Dinner for 2 vouchers? I've dined at the Sofitel Damansara more times than I care to remember (as wife and I have a set of vouchers each) as they provide best value for these vouchers. But I've stopped subscribing to Accor Plus this year. I remember I did redeem the voucher at Pullman Bangsar once and didn't realize they don't accept them anymore. The Pullman KLCC Chinese restaurant has always been difficult since the rebranding from Prince as they do restrict items on the menu as non-discount items, so not a surprise.
By the way, is the Pavilion Hotel by Bayan Tree participating?

pavilion hotel name is not in the voucher, but they do provide standard a+ discount.

Pullman Bangsar may leave accorhotels group 1st June 2019. The property owner may rebrand it to other chain.
I called the hotel to ask what will happen to my upcoming booking, but they cant answer until things become official, they are still waiting for instruction / guideline from management. I was told i might get refund or transfer to nearby accor property.

Unfortunately there aren’t properties at Perenthian/Redang/all islands on east coast
same problem at all other hotel chains
there would be a lot of “old” and “need renewals” properties in that area to invest on, in one of the most beautiful sea of the world
