I don't think I've ever carried any of the cards I have with me on a trip. It's just clutter in the wallet, and I've never been asked to show it anywhere.

In many Accor hotels, I have always find useful to show you card at check-in because the attendant see your status (on top of what he/she should see on the computer) and this acts as a kind reminder for the associated benefits. It may be useless but it's never harmful

I have a physical card, but it has an expiry date of 2020. I think that's the only card they've ever sent me. If they don't send them every year, I don't know why they print an expiry date. Or, are they supposed to send them every year?

Before, when I was Platinum and had the physical card.
