Is it now impossible to turn off automatic points conversion?

I figured out how to turn ON automatic points conversion, but there seems to be no way to turn it off. The website instructs you to go to the same conversion page. https://www.accorhotels.com/gb/leclub/partners/airlinepartners-conditions.html

"Members can deactivate the automatic conversion of Rewards points into air miles at any time via their online Le Club AccorHotels account at www.accorhotels.com. Members must log onto their online Le Club AccorHotels account and click on Use my points in the "MY ONLINE ACCOUNT AND MEMBERSHIP" section. They must then click on the Disable the automatic points conversion link in the Our partners section."

But I don't see how it can be done on this page. I tried unchecking the box where you select an airline partner and then clicking "confirm" but that didn't work.

I emailed Accor customer service. A week later they emailed me, but they directed me to the same page. Apparently, they didn't even bother to check beyond what the help page says. I replied, telling them there's no way to turn it off. Days later, they ask for me a screenshot (because they're too lazy to just go to the page themselves???). I gave up.

Meanwhile, my stays keep going to converted to miles automatically. It's OK when there's a promo, but terrible value when there's not.

There's also no way that I can find to determine whether you are set to autoconvert, or not.

I've come across the exact same problem. May I ask whether OP successfully turned off auto conversion in the end? If so, how did you do that? Thanks

actually it does work. Go to the partner in question, click on disable automatic conversion-- you have to click on the button many, many times-- eventually, randomly (?) it will work. Took me about 20 minutes...
