When is online check in not available?

When is online check in not available?

Is there a published list of for who and in what circumstance online check in is offered or not offered. I appreciate not all hotels yet offer online check in.

For example can it be used when children are part of the booking or if you book more than one room? From experience when travelling as a family booking 2 rooms even if all prepaid by me online check is not offered even if the hotel is one supposed to offer this service.

When I've asked at the hotels concerned why I wasn't offered online check in they are surprised it wasn't but can't offer any explanation for why it wasn't. Last time I asked the receptionist was surprised and apolegetic stating it should have been offered but couldn't comment beyond a possible IT glitch. Was it a IT glitch or is there a Accor policy on this?

When travelling on my own online check in seems to be offered. When travelling with children a fast check in is often more crucial than when on my own but doesn't seem to be possible to aid this via online check-in. Are there other non eligibility booking types?

I can't find any criteria for online check in on the Accor websites beyond it being a direct Accor booking.

All my bookings are via my Le Club account and booking online with Accor.com or one of its other branded websites.
