Pullman Cannes Upgrade

New to the forum.

I am an Accor Gold member and have just recently booked a 4 night stay in a superior golf view room at the Pullman Cannes. I wondered if anyone had received an upgrade when staying at the property before? I have booked it for our wedding anniversary.

I had hoped that I may at least get an upgrade to a sea view room (still a superior room) or even to a Deluxe room. I emailed the hotel in advance to ask the question and they basically said that they wouldn't upgrade and that if I wanted a sea view room, I would have to pay a supplement for this. Is that right? They said "we propose to our Gold and Platinum card members an upgrade (upon availability) from Golf view to Golf view as well as from Sea view to sea view." I guess they may do something at check in but thought I'd ask before I travelled.

I wondered what peoples thoughts were on this?

I have stayed in a few hotels since getting my Gold status and have always been upgraded and looked after.

Has anyone else stayed there and received an upgrade?

Remember that Pullman Cannes is ... not in Cannes, but 8 km from Croisette.
You definitely need a car if you stay there.

I am a Platinum member and had booked two superior golf view rooms. I received rooms that had a partial sea view, so an upgrade of sorts I suppose.
